Fix Route 955 Now

The road is horrible! It needs to be fixed and not just a bandaid. There are parts that are too narrow and other parts that you could do major damage if you hit the pothole!

We haven’t driven this route in a year because it’s horrible condition. It’s a shame to be missing out on the scenic drive but it’s so dangerous that it’s not worth it It’s an embarrassment to have tourists travel to a provincial park on this road

Also needs the water to drain on the sides it pools in the low spots.

Very Dangerous and a shame to all tourists that visit this area.

The roads are deteriorating immensely even since last summer. After the winter- they are always left way worse. This is to the point you cannot even avoid pot holes & parts of the shoulder are completely crumbled & missing. Many cars travel this road during the tourist season including many large campers/rvs. This road needs fixed asap!!!

I grew up on route 955 in Murray corner and now our family has a cottage there which we enjoy visiting every summer. The last time I remember the roads being paved properly and I believe it was chip seal I was probably 16 years old and I am now 59. Since then there have been many potholes filled which have led to very uneven roads and there are some areas where the side of the road is totally gone. The state of these roads are extremely dangerous to all of the residents and cottagers and tourists. My parents are now in their 70s and have lived their whole lives on the shore road. We all pay our taxes and we deserve to have a safe road to travel in and out of our homes. Dumping a bit of asphalt and driving over it to fill a hole is not a great fix. But this is what has been happening for years the road is so uneven and bumpy. You would almost assume it was a road that was never travelled and nobody lived on it. It is that bad. Please fix route 955. It is well overdue.

This route needs to be updated to a similar standard that other jurisdictions enjoy. This is an alternate route for traffic from PEI in case of closure of the TCH and should be upgraded to accommodate same.

This stretch of road is in deplorable condition. It is very dangerous as there is no shoulder to avoid accidents. This road leads to Murray Corner provincial park as well is used for travel to and from PEI.

Very dangerous conditions.

This road is a complete mess. Must be waiting for someone to die on them before they will be fixed

Don't forget to spec in a paved bike / walking lane on both sides. A nice opportunity to help “Make Canada Healthy Again” and turn Route 955 into an envied destination point.

So important for people living on the route and could be more inviting for tourists...such a beautiful drive!

The road is in terrible condition. It is totally unsafe for walkers and bicycles.

We drive this route often in the summer..would love if it was a bit smoother

This road is unsafe and something needs done.

So dangerous, I worry for my safety as well as all the others on that road. Near my cottage the sides of the road has collapsed

Lets hope it doesn't take a death to get the upgrade

That road is in desperate need of repair. I travel it in the summer and I am surprised there hasn't been an accident by now.

My wife and I live in Little Shemogue from May to November and believe Rte 955, being one of the best picturesque drives in the province, is one of the worst roads in the province.
