Parking in Long Beach has been a big problem ever since I've lived here (25 years). It affects resident's quality of life and property values. It's also a personal safety issue. When are our leaders going to look into some serious solutions regarding this matter??

The Long Beach city council needs to take the parking issues seriously and come up with viable solutions to this ongoing problem that continues to grow. I personally will not being voting for anyone seeking to be an elected official of this city who does not make this a top priority.

The parking situation in the Alamitos Beach neighborhood is criminal. Multistory parking structures need to be built. Any resident that has received 1 or 2 parking tickets would gladly pay $100/mo for a guaranteed spot. City as landlord who reap benefits too.

Residents should not have to park on the street. At the very least we should be allowed parking permits to park near our homes.

Its time to STOP saying , "you admit there is a parking problem", and START fixing it. Enough is enough.

Long Beach should consider this as one of their highest priorities.

The parking situation downtown is awful and it's only managed to get worse over the 5 years I've lived here. It's a strain on community relations, and a parking dispute has even effected our relationship with our neighbors. It's time to fully evaluate the problem so real solutions can be made. As an architect, I understand the complexity of the problem. However, only by fully evaluating the problem can we come up with the right solutions. A comprehensive parking study is needed!

I'm a senior citizen with a knee and hip condition. I live on Cerritos and Ocean and love the area and the city. But the parking situation it's terrible. When I go grocery shopping I have to walk several blocks with my bags or make 2 or 3 trips back and forth to my car. Please look into solutions for this problem that affects so many Long Beach citizens young and old.

Parking here is the worst. Fix the problem, and rents will increase dramatically.

I've lived in the same apartment at The St Regis for about 16 years. Parking has gradually worsened over the years and it seems to me it is time for better planning.

owners/renters are not being heard by this city. The "all mighty buck" needs to focus on resolving the inner city parking issues. There are unique old structures being over taken by condo mania...enough!

The parking requirements for Downtown developments need to be based upon how many cars people actually have, not wishful thinking. Even many people who take transit have a car at home!
