This petition is presented by members of the CFOA to the CFOA Board for the immediate removal of Don Trawick as assignor for football and flag football. The job of an officials is to be impartial when enforcing rules and ensuring the game is officiated fairly. Officials are expected to have the highest integrity both on and off the field in order to solidify their credibility.

Our assignor has not shown any of these traits. He assigns games based on emotion or if you are in his inner circle. He is vindictive to those who do not show him the respect he thinks he deserves. Certain games are assigned to specific officials while others do not have the opportunity to work these games. These schools consist of Apopka, Lake Brantley, Lake Mary, Edgewater, Olympia, and Osceola to list a few. He assumes there are only a few officials who are capable of handling these games.

 This association is only as good as it's weakest official. We will not grow as an association when we allow the assignor to put officials on the field who are not prepared mentally or physically to give the schools a quality product they are expecting when they pay for our services.

  Facts to support this immediate removal

He does not follow FHSAA guidelines when assigning games. Officials are assigned more than two games at the same school. He is not distributing the games fairly across the membership.

Games are assigned to certain people who have a higher game count than others in the association (almost Double) Ask a board member for the game counts

He does not allow the assignment committee to review the schedule prior to it being released.

He was released by Pop Warner for issues he was made aware of and did not correct them which was a liability to their organization.

He refuses to use the Arbiter system the way it was intended to schedule games, and allow the member to accept or decline games 

He has no access to a computer to enter games into arbiter and requires someone else to do it for him. Thus he assumed a job he is not capable of performing and is getting paid for it

He is not accessible to the membership or schools in an efficient way. He can only be contacted by phone. Often the phone is busy, voice mail is full, and he does not follow up on voicemails.

He will punish people by assigning them games like Crescent City, Jr High games on weekends, or private school games.

These are just a few examples which support his immediate removal from the CFOA Board. If you agree with this petition then sign it or if you have an opposing view let us know where we are wrong about this issue. Our reputation as officials around Central Florida and the rest of the State is being jeopardized by our assignors lack of credibility, integrity, and leadership. As members of the CFOA we need to remind the board they work for us, we don't work for them. Let our board know we elected them to be leaders, and a good leader will have the courage to face the facts and remove Don Trawick form his position of assignor
