as a daughter of two retired parents and having one year left of college, this is an unnecessary expense, this will increase my debt more and i came to IUP to decrease mine, there should be more programs in place for people who are in extra-curriculars while having good grades, and have certain financial circumstances. We are not being provided more services with this tuition increase and our dining services are increasing too much too. This particular increase will force students to reconsider IUP and might not allow some students to come back to school. IUP seriously needs to rethink this tuition increase.

As someone who barely can afford schooling as is, being a first generation college student, I'm scared for what the future holds with this. I've done as much as I can helping found two different organizations on campus, but I may have to change where I attend because of this.

I am a music education major who takes 18 credits per semester so that I am able to graduate on time. There is no possible way I can afford to pay for all 18 credits.

As a middle class family we get no help with our daughters tuition and this increase will result in unnecessary educational debt not only for her but also so many others. This is a huge slap in the face for everyone out there wanting a better future.

Luckily I graduated before this was even brought up. I probably wouldn't have been able to finish my degrees if I had to pay like this. Music education and many other majors at this point are hard enough to finish in 4 years at full loads. It's just a way to get you to stay extra semesters and pay extra fees. As a music ed and performance major and special ed minor I always had 18 credits + four-six 0-credit courses. Why should I (hypothetically) be punished for pursuing 2 challenging degrees and a minor on top of them?
Maybe it's time to cut the branches of administration and worry more about students and professors?

As an independent student who is going to be taking 18 credits next semester to ensure early graduation in December, I am absolutely terrified for this change because I'm not sure if I can afford to stay. This change is discriminating against students who strive and work hard to graduate early in order to begin their careers and students who take multiple majors and want to graduate on time. I find it absolutely appalling that President Driscoll would even think to sign this because this will not only cost IUP the loss of students, but it is stirring up very angry, upset, and scared student who may not be able to afford their education now.

As an upcoming Music Ed Major, I'm already struggling with funds. Not having any money at home to pay with is hard enough, and I'm scared for the financial instability I may face in pursuit of my dream career.

This system does not benefit the students of IUP or Pa. I'm dissapointed that IUP would even consider changes that clearly do not make our institution accessible.

Dr.Driscoll's administration takes advantage of students not only economically but socially. His administration has totally ignored corruption within it's branches and then he covered it up by saying we need to focus on the racism issue on campus. While I agree that racism is an issue on this campus and deserves attention- he should not ignore the corruption and misuse of funds on this campus and then raise our tuition. It's a slap in the face to every student on this campus! He ignored racism on this campus every year until it became an issue last semester, and this year he is doing almost nothing to fight it. Summits and letters to the editors do nothing- where is the policy? Also what about the fact that IUP has been rated as one of the TOP TEN LGBTQ UNFRIENDLY SCHOOLS IN THE NATION! HE HAS SAID NOTHING ABOUT THIS. He has literally done nothing for this campus.... I have lost faith in him and his administration and they should all resign.

I am a music student at IUP and now this semi affordable music education is not going to be affordable anymore considering music students have to take at least 17 to 18 credits a semester just to graduate on time. That is going to be unaffordable for so many students on campus in various majors. It says that they're doing this to be fair because then you're only paying for the classes you take but honestly how is this fair at all to anyone in any major that requires 18 credits a semester?

Thank you. I was unsure of the numbers and plan to edit them in to make it more real for everyone. Getting upset over empty numbers is insane. They will be up within a few hours.
