Been living on Friendship Rd for 40 plus years.
At one point, I use to walk/run for exercise down the road but that hasn’t happened in a long while. What was once a nice peaceful and quiet area to live in is now a disaster with ALL of this traffic and unsafe road conditions. Potholes rough patchy areas giving unnecessary wear and tear to vehicles. A traffic light, turning lanes, new pavement (not the cheap stuff either) and a guard rail to keep cars from driving into my yard at the intersection of Woods Creek and Friendship would be helpful too. That has happened twice with driver’s reckless driving and/or stating they didn’t see the “stop sign”. It’s dangerous!! I’m all for growth but sometimes there comes a time where you have to ask when is enough, ENOUGH?!?! Old US-1 could stand to be paved too!

There are many long-needed improvements identified. Also many drivers ignore the posted speed limit.

Travel during school opening and closing times is particularly bad. This will get considerably worse with the opening of the Amgen facility. Please address the situation before that day arrives.

Friendship Road has been increasingly less safe over the years. The poor condition does not support the current traffic conditions.

With the addition of three Wake County schools in our area, it has become very dangerous and at times almost impossible to turn left or right off of Friendship Road onto Old US 1. Between school traffic and new construction traffic the area is no longer rural. This needs to be addressed before lives are lost.

My wife was rear ended at that intersection while trying to make a left onto friendship. She was very luck she wasn't hurt but the car was totaled. 3 cars were totaled in that accident. Do we need to wait until some is killed there? And what about Friendship at New Hill Holleman?

Lower and enforce speed limit.
Turn lanes at Friendship Rd and Old US 1 might help the backed up traffic departing Friendship Rd, however, those turning right may not have a clear view by those turning left. Activate light at peak times..

Old US 1 and Friendship Road are in very bad condition and getting worse. Turning lane needed approaching Old US 1 from Friendship Road. Starting at the railroad track 'Friendship Road "needs to line up into Holland Road to make an intersection.

While you are fixing that road. you need to fix Old US 1, from Apex to US 1!!!

Friendship road has long been a connection between Apex, Holly Springs and points South. Traffic has continually gotten worse with people having no regard for each other. Poor planning on the part of both Holly Springs and Apex has made this road dangerous for all, especially cyclists and any pedestrians. Please include these people in your plans.
