NON-BINDING petition to ask Commissioner Weaver and Commissioner Partridge to reconsider Commissioner Thomas proposal to fund roads without increasing taxes.

The proposal would reallocate one half of justice center sales tax to roads. Sheriff needs no additional buildings, does not impact Sheriff operational money and would improve public safety.

Sale tax revenue stream is estimated to be 60% paid by out of county residents, would sunset in 2035 and raise estimated $360 million to be used only for roads in partnership with Cities, State and Federal agencies or County only projects.
