US64 must be widened. Hate the roundabouts! As Laurel Park residents of over 34 years we vigorously oppose the duplex development and it will destroy the character of our small town. We are from Miami originally and experienced first hand how heavy housing density effects quality of life. Renters bring crime, transient populations have no stake in how their neighborhood are maintained. No high density development here please!

I do not want this decision made without taking into consideration the opinions of those affected. The subdivision is outside of Kaurel Park and should be outside their jurisdiction. This high density housing will bring more crime and expense, not to mention lowering property values. We want to maintain the community and are opposed to the large footprint that the road and subdivision will bring. Many more concerns...

This proposed should be of concern to both Laurel Park and Hendersonville residents living on 64 West. Not only will it make it a more dangerous route but will completely alter the character of our rural community. This high density development is completely out of character for this area. It will spoil the appeal of living on this side of Hendersonville and could possibly have a negative impact on property values. I strongly feel that this is not the appropriate place for this sort of development. I would like to see it limited to single family dwellings or at least have the number of units reduced. Also, there absolutely must be infrastructure to support the increased traffic especially at the Hunters Crossing entrance. Anything else would be extreme negligence.

Much much more research into the road situation has to be looked at. You couldn't in good faith start to build without considering the impact of the TOTAL project on the safety of our entrances both at Hawthorn Hills and Hunter's Crossing

Roundabouts will not help the problem. Don't add more traffic to US64 West until a proper, sensible plan is put in place. And how about limiting through truck traffic?

64W is already overcrowded and this development will add to the risks of driving on it. There have been several instances of cars in the 12 foot ditch adjacent to the proposed new road.

Decisions concerning roadway development belong in the hands of the people who live along those roadways and the businesses that operate there. Neighbors of the proposed Arcadia Views are strongly opposed to this housing development due to the amount of traffic it will add to an already dangerous section of highway, and residents living along the US 64 corridor strenuously oppose the introduction of roundabouts with no highway widening, which will slow traffic and worsen congestion.

I oppose the roundabouts and continuous median barrier which would connect them. It is such a massive taking of land, it will kill SEVEN businesses along 64west.......and for WHAT....? The three-lane road plan between Buncombe St - Blythe St (past the hospital) handles the same amount of cars & trucks traffic.....and is working very well. All we need is a continuous middle turn lane, and signalized intersections as needed.
