The organizers confirmed that water will be provided at accessible prices moving forward. Seeing this change happen means no more worrying about friends collapsing on the dance floor because they could not afford to stay hydrated. Thank you for pushing for this safety standard with me.

A small survey of festival-enthusiasts revealed an average expenditure of RM75-100 on water alone (and festival tickets are usually RM110-200). In light of the recent deaths at music festivals around the world, we would like to petition organizers to make water sold at the events more affordable. Long hours of crowded masses, sweaty dancing, and alcohol consumption is a real and very common threat to health if not properly hydrated. Setting the prices low (or free) would go a long way in ensuring the happiness and safety of every individual who participates in these events. Keeping people well hydrated (cheaply) will also put a responsible and caring face on event organizers, and would allay many complaints about how water prices are really set to drive up alcohol sales and event profits. Would you charge RM10 for a bottle of water at the gym or a sport event? Some may have to save for months to afford the journey to a festival, only to be dismayed at having to pay so much more for something so essential.

This petition is to targeted to these major industry players Future Sound Asia, Livescape Asia, Sundown Music Festival, T W E L V E, Rising Music Festival, Wicked Entertainment

Seeing 100 people back this effort feels surreal after spending so much time worrying about the safety of my friends at these events. I am genuinely grateful for every person who chose to sign this because it shows we all deserve basic hydration without being exploited.

Seeing the count climb toward one hundred signers reminds me of my own exhaustion after waiting hours for water at a festival. Please post the link to your feed right now so we can hit this goal and force the organizers to look at our safety.

Mineral water should be cheaper to ease our burden, and to let us stay hydrated. But RM10 for evian is cool with me.

Ridiculous prices. I paid rm12 for a small bottle last time and it ruined my budget for the whole night.

it makes no sense to charge so much when we are all dying of heat inside the tents. organizers need to get a grip.
