We the undersigned residents of Omega Works petition the Council to remove the current ‘pay & display’ and residents’ zoned permit system and resurrect free parking in Roach Road, Wkye Road, Monier Road, Beachy Road and Stour Road on Fish Island. Currently there is no parking issue in the area and both residents and paid parking bays are under-utilised. However, parking is a significant problem for the residents of Omega Works, whose visitors are discouraged by the charge of £3 an hour which is inappropriate for an area with no little traffic and no shortage of parking bays. As Omega Works is the only residential development on Roach Road, we request the council to take into account the wishes of the local residents and review the parking restrictions in Roach Road and adjacent streets.
