Opposing FISD Rezone

Please keep Preston vineyards phase IV at Gunstream elementary!

I bought my home based on the schools ratings in the area.

our students should not be constantly moved around just because the TRE did not pass and the district decided not to open the new schools...

I was very disturbed to read the news of the proposed rezoning. I moved to PVIV to be in Gunstream's district, and my daughters have done well there. My youngest daughter is in the third grade now. I was also surprised that the article mentioned that Gunstream is not currently full. Additionally, I have not heard great reviews from friends whose children attend Christie. While I know I am not privvy to all of the workings of the Frisco ISD, on the surface it does not seem to make sense to make the proposed changes. At the very least, the children already enrolled at Gunstream should be given automatic transfers for the remainder of their elementary education. The ISD should also research the variance in educations between Gunstream and Christie.

We have two school aged kids and have already established a relationship with the staff and leaders at Gunstream. Our family would be heartbroken to make a this change.

We live in Preston vineyards and we will not like to move our son to Christine

We vehemently oppose this proposed re-zoning of Preston Vinyards IV. Careful consideration goes into purchasing a home and school for our children. In a lot of cases, families buy homes simply based on the schools their children will attend. Buying in an HOA close to highly rated school like Gunstream was the motivation behind our purchase. If you move us to a like school, that's one thing. But to move the neighborhood to one of the lowest rated schools in the district is completely unfair. It has a bearing on our kids education, our property values and overall neighborhood appeal. Preston Vinyards has been a part of Gunstream for many years. It's how the neighborhood was founded. Buying decisions could be completely different with the Re-zoning of the neighborhood. We ask that you not change the direction of what was a very careful and planned decision when these homes were purchased.

My Children go to Gunstream Elementary and I will fight to keep them there. Sincerely, Michael Martinez

We chose our home specifically because it was zoned for Gunstream. Our daughter is very attached to her Gunstream family. Please don't rezone! Don't disrupt the kinship and community we have formed as new Texas residents!

Pls have your spouses sign it as well. Also send it to neighbors who do not have kids at Gunstream, it'll affect their home values! We need as many people singing it so our voices can be heard!

My daughter is in kindergarten at Gunstream and has already made many friends! Along with neighborhood friends we already knew before starting school. She was nervous about kindergarten because she is very shy and has had such a great experience so far at Gunstream!

Keep us at Gunstream!
