I went down on the day a dog was to be killed and once he was in my car he was the best dog. At my house he was the friendly dog with my friends. This place is a joke

I don't know if they need to fire the employees, but they need to get the shelter director to reinstate a foster program and stop the needless killing by becoming a no-kill shelter. It takes a determination to become no-kill by requesting funding and applying for grants, but it can be done if the people there want to do it badly enough. They can reach out to Nathan Winograd and he can give them ideas and advice on how this can be done. Those animals did not ask to be abandoned, abused, or neglected. Please consider becoming no-kill at FCDS. Thank you.

No excuse...absolutely disgusting! Why...because you’re too lazy to do what you we’re supposed to do?!?! I know...you were overworked, underpaid, understaffed, not trained well enough...well, join every other shelter, rescue, foster program and person trying to save animals!! Call Miami County...Deputy Sarah Fraley will let you know exactly how a shelter can be turned around in a short period of time with caring people and minimal resources! Evidently you don’t care about a life that could have been saved but there are a lot of us that do!

I have rescued 3 dogs from here and wish I could more everyday. No dog deserves to die because people think they're mean. The three I got that they said were aggressive and mean was never. They lie to do what they wish.
