Every year I have to pay to take my dogs out if area as they are so terrified to the point of fitting. We have 5 planned events in a 5 mile radius plus the idiots it's absolutely ridiculous no control whatsoever.

I have nothing against a good quality display......What is irritating is the bangs which cause distress to animals and others when they are randomly set off when the general public are allowed to buy them in small quantities. There is no need for them to make loud bangs either. Quiet Pretty firework displays are a joy to watch
As a vet nurse with a husband whos a cop. We both feel very strongly about this. Not only is it cruel to animals, we cant sleep for weeks due to the idiots letting them off
Fireworks cause many problems for animals and you never know when they are about to go off

People are too childish and selfish to behave responsibly anymore. This puts pressure on fire and medical services due to an increase in irresponsible behavior; and people have lost valuable livestock. Not only Nov. 5th, but throughout the year, fireworks are let off at random times which are not only annoying, but scare people's pets. Have public displays, but ban private fireworks.
