Refusing to get out of the car? He was trying! Not even 30 seconds after Andrew crashed he was shot. There is no need for a police officer to draw his firearm at a ROLL OVER ACCIDENT! I sure hope if my boyfriend and I got in a crash, at least of of us could make it out of the car alive without being shot in the neck by an officer. Justice needs to be served, police are civilians too and the law is the law. The video shows the whole truth, we may never know the words exchanged before the accident, but Andrew came out of the car, hands above head, unarmed.

Yeah. Because you put two bullets in him as he was trying to exit the vehicle.
What godforsaken world do we live in that this asshat is NOT charged with assault with a deadly weapon? The man lived, but what bizarro world is this that a man trying to climb out of an overturned vehicle gets two to the neck/chest? And the cop gets paid administrative leave for "accidentally discharging" his weapon. Are you dicks even watching the same video?
And then, you don't even notify the arriving officers or paramedics that you in fact shot the guy until AFTER they discovered he'd been shot?
There was no look of surprise or jerk from a weapon not expected to discharge as the DA said. He was calm and collected as he put his weapon back in the holster after firing.

This cop should be charged for attempted manslaughter. I fear if I get in an accident I may getting shot instead of getting help, we don't need cops like this on our streets!!!

They should make an example of him and fire him for excessive force. The young man was getting out of a car that could have caught fire. He did not have a weapon. If he was going to run ,the policemen should have chased him not shot him. If the policeman wasn't so fat he may have been able to chase him on foot

If ppd wants it's citizens to trust and have faith in them, then they should prosecute criminals even if they wear a uniform. Accidental crime is still a crime.
