This is so disturbing to me as a parent to know that this officer is supposed to protect and serve for my children.

Too many trigger happy police, who shoots someone at a car accident they dont even know what happened. Then to cover it up. These are just the ones we're seeing. Maybe if we start prosecuting some of these animals, they would think twice before they shoot and cover up.

The whole story doesn't make since and you can clearly see that the office shot the gun before he even said anything about hands up! Really don't feel safe with this officer working in paradise!!

This is a disgrace! This man shot the suspect PERIOD. He didn't say anything to anyone for 11 minutes, when they needed medical assistance, spent 3 mins looking for his she'll casing.. I'm appalled that the DA would rule this an accident. Mike Ramsey should be kicked out of office as well. Please create a petition for that as well.

Unjustified then covered up shooting is not what the Police are all about. He's an example of corruption

Get rid of him. He's been a jerk and bully to several people I know and failed to do anything when my ex assaulted me

A really great family lost their daughter because of this accident. There is no excuse for his mistakes, no excuse for the drivers mistakes. This case needs justice. R.I.P. Darian Ehorn

I live in Paradise and this is Outrageous. He didn't tell the truth until he was caught, and didn't even tell the ambulance team that he shot the guy until they found the bullet. He is clearly Looking for his shells instead of checking the status of his victim. Why would anyone in this town EVER pull over for another PPD officer when this is a possibility?

Time to get these trigger happy cops out of the uniform they are supposed to serve and protect . It is long overdue to hold police to the same standards as a private citizen

The man clearly fired two shots, not one. Then he not only didn't tell anyone he fired his weapon and shot the man, he avoided rendering aid to, instead, look for his shell casings to further cover his tracks. He deserves prison as much as the driver he shot and paralyzed.
