NO this was NOT an accident of any kind-the officer is clearly a liar and coward if he thinks he can just get away with this and nobody will say a thing.
The driver was in the wrong, YES, and his wife lost her life. The cop did not do a thing to check on her, then after he shot the kid as soon as he was sitting on the window-he clearly did nothing to help anyone.
This INFURIATES me that Butte County and Mike Ramsey think they can get away with calling this a mistake and let this man walk free of ANY criminal charges!! He needs to be charged AND lose his job.

I saw this in news in Modesto, really the officer drew his gun and shot at a man who was intoxicated and was trying to lift himself out of the vehicle . The officer took off the safety latch and pointed straight at the man and shot him with no hesitation . BUTTE COUNTY ALWAYS TRYING TO COVER THERE ASSES.

This is an absolute outrage. Who approaches a horrific car accident with so much "fear" of the injured people inside. This should have been treated like the emergency it was not a chance to look like super cop.

This man is terrifying and we do NOT want him "protecting" us. He had every right to draw, but none to shoot and none to lie. He made no attempt to render assistance to anyone injured, and spent all his time looking for shell casings. We need to be able to trust out local law enforcement. With this man on the force, we cannot.

I believe that this Officer should be held accountable for his actions in a court of law, just as anyone else who "accidentally" shot someone. Ramsey must have been bought off!
It might have started out as an accident but his actions after the shot made it criminal (looking for the brass)

He needs to be drug & steriod tested & charged with attempted 1st degree murder for each shot fired & the charges should be way worse since he is an officer of the law.
