The scale of this response confirms that the current quality of commentary is a shared point of frustration for many viewers. I am currently reaching out to sports media journalists to ensure these concerns reach the executives at CBS who make these staffing decisions.

I'm trying to watch a replay of the 2013 Georgia\LSU game and, though I'm craving college football enough to watch replays, I can only watch a few minutes before turning the channel. Verne Lundquist is so clueless it's unbearable to witness. I actually dread watching SEC football games on CBS. They have ruined college football.
I agree 100% with the petition spokesperson with regard to Verne and Gary. My only fear of having them fired from CBS is that somehow they would be picked up by the new SEC Network next fall.
For years, these guys have appeared noticeably biased against certain teams; South Carolina has stuck out to me as one of their primary targets. They get names incorrect, make ridiculous comments, and often seem to lack an adequate understanding for the rules of college football. Not sure what Danielson's excuse is, but my best guess is that Lundquist may just be tired of being confused for Dick Chaney or "One of the Bobs" from Office Space. Whatever it may be...I'd prefer not to have to listen to these guys "attempt" to broadcast a game again.
My gf calls the game better with fewer errors. Worst I've heard in 25 years of watching,

Gary Danielson made the comment of the pass that Alabama blocked pass (that went back to Dak Prescott): "It was a good play for both teams!" No Gary, it was not a good play for both teams. It was a good play for Alabama, not for Mississippi State. Dak had his pass blocked!!!!! Stop showing your distaste for Alabama, you are supposed to be a professional! Speak and act like one! And I agree, you do pick sides!
Verne and Gary suck. Have to watch big games mostly on mute.
Can't fire them fast enough before Saturday Dec.5th for SEC Championship game.........RTR
They need to go. Constantly get players names wrong. Scores wrong. They total show bias when announcing.
They're pitiful.....
Danielson's not that bad but Lundquist needs to retire.
Please please toss them out. Never has anyone ever made me want to gouge out my own ear drums more, than Gary and Vern.

It's just Danielson for me!! He ruins every Alabama game. He is so biased towards Alabama. I'm not a big football fan. When he calls Alabama's games he just can not say one good thing about the team , players, or their game. Danielson litterely gets chocked or speechless .
