SUMMARY - this probably needs to happen! I just feel that consultants charge WAY TO MUCH!! This is an employee's yearly salary!! You could literally hire someone to do this and have them do a lot of other stuff for the City on the side! I just ask that you review previous study and see if it is feasible to complete this in-house!

TOO EXPENSIVE! CONSULTANTS WILL JUST TAKE PREVIOUS STUDY AND TWEAK IT!!
PREVIOUS STUDY SHOWS WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE TO GATHER THIS INFO! So, save the $ and have the City's highly paid and intelligent staff tweak it!!
Don't forget... When you live closer to a fire station, your home insurance will decrease!! I believe that the cost for the study is WAY to expensive though!! Obviously someone has checked the budget and knows what the City has budgeted for consulting! Taking a 4-minute string, drawing a circle, counting homes, and reviewing census records shouldn't be that hard! Expect ally when you just take the data that the City currently has and add to or make tweaks, which is EXACTLY what the consultant is going to do, then just make it look really pretty! I feel this is something that the HIGHLY TRAINED, and BEST OF THE BEST, City of Goodyear Staff of Engineers could probably accomplish!

Let's roll!! We are definitely in need of another fire station in Estrella. The study has already been done, new homes are being started everyday. Please do not make someone lose their life or their home before we "git ur done"!!!

Goodyear is constantly growing and if the trucks out there are on other calls when an emergency arises, the trucks in my area (Yuma and Sarival) would have to respond, leaving us unattended.

Based upon all the standards the City has adopted, the need for the firestation has already been demonstrated. Let's hope that the City doesn't wait until there is a medical failure to make the City prioritize this high on the list.
