Our disabled son has suffered under Marten's tenure. He was denied federally mandated educational services. They deny us access to the emails pertaining to his services (or lack of services). Our other child has been learning from home for nearly a year while other children are learning in-person. Where are the millions of dollars allocated for special education? Where are the millions of dollars allocated to re-open our schools? We need transparency and accountability. We need them now.

Cindy sends regular emails to parents using this as a political soapbox from whence to shout down half of the nation. Her priorities are about assuaging her own guilt for being white and the interests of the student body are clearly not her priority. Send her packing.

You should also be aware that Marten is championing the teaching of "Progressive" (i.e., ultra Left) ideology, such as insisting that teachers undergo "white privilege" training so that white teachers can accept that they are racist simply by being white; are upholding racist ideas, structures, and policies; and that they must commit to becoming "anti-racist" in the classroom. They must submit to the new racial orthodoxy, which in the minds of these ideologues is not to be color-blind and look for the content of one's character and competency, but to advocate for outcomes tied to race. It's a divisive and demeaning ideology that is taking hold in school districts and must be stamped out by getting rid of Marten and those of her ilk from positions of authority.

It has been obvious the lack of lidership and how bad San Diego public school got during her administration. Classroom are overcrowded, the manipulation of trying to exclude parents from school decision is almost a scam. !

Finally!!!!! Cindy Martin allowed and denied numerous offensive, threatening, & direct attacks to parents, teachers & students at Perry Elementary by Principal E. Austin. My livelihood & reputation was slandered while truth and records hidden & denied in court. Get her OUT.

Get her out. She and her cronie Kimie Lochtefeld supported our new incompetent probationary Principal's decision to move me to 1st grade, overlooking my 24 years of experience in SDUSD exclusive to grades 3-6. She instead hired new teachers to take the available upper positions and move me out of my area of experience and expertise. It was a personal attack because I spoke out against her inability to lead of appropriately. This Principal had so many complaints from staff and parents yet she continues to ineptly run this school site. Both Cindy and Kimie supported her decision without even looking into the matter. They supported this decision when the district admin had already said that no drastic grade level changes would be made during these already uncertain times. I'm out on stress leave due to this tramatizing situation and inability to get proper support. I've never taught primary. She hurt not only me but the students and parents are also reply affected by her outlandish actions. Get Cindy out asap for supporting this kind of nonsensical leadership. Teachers deserve better. The whole SDUSD district, especially our students, deserves better!

Three classes for three hours for a high school freshman is unacceptable. We should expect more! Students want to learn more! Don’t promise us that classes will be open and then there is no hope! Where is the detailed plan with metrics showing when and how we can return to live classroom instruction .

3 grandchildren and their parents being cheated by this ENTITLED women. Grocery clerks work for a quarter of teachers and take on a lot more risk. The teachers union says its about the kids. BS

Mrs. Cindy Martin turned a BLIND eye to all of the terrible treatment from principal Sra. Sanchez, that students and parents of color were forced to endure at Longfellow Elementary. We contacted the board of education and still nothing was done. We went through hell under Sra. Sanchez managment and our children suffered greatly.
