I am a female and thoroughly disgusted with this sort of stupid, idiotic behaviour which only serves to leave women in a bad light.

If a man had behaved in such a way, I'd have called him a complete and utter moron. So in the interest of equality, Rose Eveleth is a complete and utter moron.

As a journalist she should have established the facts first before taking her outrage to twitter. The shirt was a gift from a female friend, the gentlemen she attacked worked with women on this Team for over ten years. She attempted to use her position to raise awareness of women in STEM, however she attacked the credibility of a leading scientist without any evidence but that of her own moral outrage generated from a knee jerk reaction. This shows extremely poor judgement. I believe she has not used her current position to promote women in STEM but has actually done more damage to them and to feminism in general.

I certainly disagree with such behavior. I pray for her punishment.
