Raven-Symone has made plenty of offensive statements, but the one she made today takes the cake. She stated on "the View" that she will not hire people with "black" or "ghetto" names. This is extremely hurtful, ignorant, and racist. The View is providing her with a powerful platform to have her opinions be heard by millions. If she was white, she would immediately be taken off the air. We must take a stand and let our opinion be heard -- "the View" needs to fire her in order to demonstrate that racism (even by those of that same race) will not be tolerated.

The scale of this response confirms the necessity of a formal demand for accountability. I am currently finalizing the letter to the network executives which will be delivered later this week.

I found raven's comments concerning black names to be totally unacceptable she should not have a voice to a national audience
There should not be double standards because she is black or african american. Racism is Racism and ANYONE who makes racist comments should be held accountable regardless of there race.
Too angry, loud, eye rolling ,etc. who wants to watch this.
I think her comments are myopic, distasteful and prejudice and I'd like to see her removed from any opinion panel especially The View.

Abc should get this self hating bitter misrable head case off there network. I will not tune in to any of your shows until you do. If a white person had made those filthy comments, they would be fired! But someone at this network is probably enjoying how this is all playing out. And maybe this wretch is saying exactly what you racist wanted to say but you want to keep your job.

I certainly don't want her to have such a platform in front of my 14 yr old. My daughter has been dealing with racism since she was 9 .... Certainly comments like Raven has made will help tear down instead of build up!!!
