Get Lakeside to see how unfair Ms Lewis’s class is

Some of my friends are super smart and don’t complain about their work, but when it came to Ms Lewis’ class they struggled a lot. She doesn’t even teach, she assigns mundane work :/

this class is just not fair

Ms. Lewis seemed mentally unstable. One minute she would be speaking calmly and the next she would start screaming at you. I actually learned quite a bit in her writers workshop class. But I still don’t think she should be teaching.

i have never had this teacher, but EVERYONE complains coincidence ? i think not. she is lazy and and unfair she doesn’t teach. she has no right to be apart of our futures if our futures need to be ruined we should be the ones doing it not her she needs to find something more fit for her like sitting at home watching tv because teaching is clearly not working. timing work that she hasn’t taught unfair. her being at our lakeside community should be illegal and she is a huge burden on everyone and needs to be permanently removed from any school system i dont wish her laziness, selfishness and plain unsympathetic nature upon anyone not even my biggest enemy.

She got vertigo and started failing everyone

Does not give enough time on assignments, does not teach or explain assignments, and is rude to students.

She needs to teach at least

i personally have never had her but from what i’ve heard nothing she’s doing is beneficial to the students.

The first assignments given were not explained in that we had to find the exact quotes from the exact part of the text or else we were wrong and when asked if an answer was also correct she said no because I didn’t read critically. When questioned further she stated, “I didn’t make this and this is what they said is correct, you’re just wrong.” Chance for an open dialogue is difficult as she finds and excuse for everything such as when she went over everyone’s papers because “100’s are easier to grade” but still have people 80’s despite the fact that she herself checked the work before it was turned in. I received a 98 due to “misplaced commas” when I asked her why it was wrong she said it was a simple sentence and then when I saw the answer key she had pulled up on her computer my exact sentence with commas was written. When I stated, “hey that’s exactly what I have written.” She said, “oh well that’s wrong” and deleted the commas from the answer key. Not to mention that learning from our mistakes is nearly impossible without asking for each assignment to be shown because Schoology(the website she uses) doesn’t show us our wrong answers. Any teaching she does is reading from a power point verbatim. I could go on but this is just a petition website.

I have heard so many negative things about this teacher and NEVER anything positive... that means something doesn’t it...?

This teacher hands out assignments that are difficult for students to complete. It would make sense if she taught the material that is presented in the assignments. However, this is not the case because she fails to teach her students.

I don’t personally have her but very few days go by that my friends who take her class aren’t extremely stressed, anxious, and on the verge of a panic attack because of what goes on in her class specifically. I have never seen anything this extreme in my 12 years as a student in the Dekalb County School System but I have had multiple bad teachers before and believe that more needs to be done to make sure material is properly taught and the majority of students in any given class are successful.

I had her last year and I barely passed your class she really never taught me anything.

I, as an eligible student, am unable to meet the same high academic achievement standards expected of all children in this environment, which is stated as a goal of Lakeside High School’s.

She does not teach

I graduated from Lakeside in 2019 and I had her my Junior year. She was the worst teacher I have ever had. She never looked up from her computer desk and she would give us tests on subjects she never taught us. 1st semester we watched The Flash tv series for the last 3-4 weeks of school before winter break, no work or anything education related
