This needs to be seen by the president of HNU. A large majority of the student population is speaking up. When are we going to be heard?! We’ve already lost Rachel, what else needs to happen for change

She thinks she knows what is best for this school and the athletes that are here, yet she never takes the time to make an effort to see what is best or what anyone is going through. I don't believe she supports all teams on campus like she should. she only goes to support select teams that are convenient for her. Mostly on campus sports which isn't fair because it is not the athletes faults that we do not have facilities on campus. she chooses the wrong things to worry about when she should be worried about fixing facilities on our campus to make it more beneficial for athletes success. As well as fixing our van situation for sports that have to travel off campus. She is taking the good things away from this school and the people that actually care and are here to better this place. I do not believe she is fit for this position as the AD of HNU Athletics. I also think she is fake in her appearance and beats around the bush when we should have someone in charge that will actually tell you what's wrong, what needs to be fixed or what is going well.

The decision was made with no thought or consideration for the student athletes at hnu. Rachel is a huge part of hnu and has put in so much extra work to help student athletes. Losing Rachel is a huge loss for hnu and especially for the student athletes she watches over everyday. This is extremely heartbreaking and disappointing and I hope there is a change made.

The athletics department administration doesn’t value the athletes or the athletics training staff. We as athletes, have the right to speak up and be the voice of the students who see how inconsistent treatment is in here. The president needs to know what is happening and something needs to be done. Student athletes and sports programs have suffered enough. Change need to happen and not the ones where the valuable staff and beyond talented student athletes leave the university because of this circus

She has had a huge negative impact on my experience at hnu. Truly don’t feel like she has benefited this program whatsoever and I really want to see change.

She does not withhold the characteristics that an Athletic Director should acquire. She only shows her support to certain sports and gives little acknowledgement to others. She fails to take into consideration the feelings of the athletes that work under those she has let go and she should not be head of the department.

Please reconsider your decision and listen to the student athletes that work with this trainer.

Not once have I ever felt truly supported as a student athlete within the athletics department except by my teammates and by the athletic training staff. There is a disconnect between the athletic administration, coaches, and the student athletes. Athletic training truly understands the student athlete. What we go through physically, mentally, and emotionally. They go above and beyond their job description because they are the true embodiment of our core values here at HNU. They deserve more than what they get.

There’s only one reason so many student athletes have left that softball program, myself included... Smoke is the reason. And the reason ANYONE stayed for as long as we have was because Rachel made everything better. For smoke to have almost 30 girls quitting under her is ridiculous which makes me question what she even do as an athletic director. For Rachel to be gone and be the only good thing that came from joining hnu athletics is insulting. Softball and HNU athletics is NOTHING without Rachel. So I hope you’re happy.

So many decisions have been made in the last 4 years that have affected student athletes. I don’t want future athletes to go through what I went through based off her decisions.

Decision was not made in the athletes best interest. The situation was not handled correctly from the very beginning & more thought needed to be put into it.

Job is not done well enough, there are so many questions and holes in the program that seem to stem from the top(her position)
