Typical of schools to support this type of oppression.

I am an educator and psychologist. I feel this person is unstable and a danger to his students and your school. Much evidence of him using his position to intimidate students.

While Crowder's video was hilarious, this man should really be fired. He is unstable and is known for slander.

Freedom of Speech is acceptable but slanders, lies, and libel is not.

This guy is verbally abusive to anyone who disagrees with his politics, both students and adults. If a student in his class supports President Trump, he purposely fails them. Fire him ASAP!

I’m sure he is being protected from the normal consequences that occur when a professional educator is caught on tape publicly lying and slandering another person to make himself look like the “victim”! How can the university fail to discipline this man for NOT only being a giant hypocrite, but for serious offenses that can (and should) lead to both the teacher AND his employer being sued for the above offenses! If that professor was a conservative, he would have been fired & forced to give a public apology, but because he is a member of the far left, he can get away with almost anything without consequence. Fair warning professor: don’t get caught talking trash about your own leftest pals or they will turn on you faster than you can say ‘shi*balls’....because the “tolerant” left actually is not tolerant at all & for some reason they love to eat their own (they must love the taste of disgraced cow manure in the morning)!

This person is a troll both online and in-person that makes up lies. He didn't be teaching, let alone at a public university.

Charles Hermes appears to use his position to push his political beliefs. He also does not seem very stable or reliable. He certainly does not seem to be 'good value for money', for those paying student fees and expecting a decent education in return.

Protecting our first amendment rights on college campus is imperative. Employing any professors who participate in this level of abuse towards students that hold a different opinion, is unacceptable.

Dishonesty is a firing offence for a logic professor. Incivility is bad for your brand

This professor is responsible for teaching logic at UTA. He is a liar, slanderer, and destroyer of lives as he has lied about Steven Crowder and said he has “graphically called for the murder of Jews and LGBT” and as Crowder says in his show, “if I didn’t have this show and an interviewer saw that, even though is is untrue, they would turn me away.” Professors of colleges are responsible for shaping the lives of the next generation and making sure that they have free spirits and free minds and can do whatever they want and Prof Hermes limits that creativity and makes students feel wrong about having the opinions that they have. Someone that does this should definitely not be employed as a role model for young women and men, let alone be teaching LOGIC.

The first amendment is the greatest tool for protecting our freedom. I support the right of this man to freely express his ideas, provided those ideas do not break the law. However, the University has an obligation to its students, faculty, and staff to establish and enforce a code of conduct which ensures a member of the university, and this man in particular, is not permitted to use a position of power to coerce, intimidate or otherwise negatively impact students grades, ability to participate in campus events, or freely express their own ideas. Free speech is protected by the first amendment, but it is not without consequence. When you’re free speech is in direct conflict with the conduct expected in your place of employment, the consequence is generally being reprimanded or fired. If this man is not fired, perhaps it is time to look at the UTA leaders who are unwilling or unable to take appropriate action to protect their students.
