If you're a true Pirates fan, sign this. Bob Nutting is the 12th richest owner in baseball, therefore the Pirates should have the 12th highest payroll. This is not the case; even though the Pirates could be contenders, they're in the bottom third of payroll. The Bucs are also 28th in the league in payroll percentage compared to revenue: which means they don't spend any money, but have it. Fun fact, the "measly" and "poor" Pirates generated more revenue than the star-studded Toronto Blue Jays who broke the bank to try to win. I'm not asking for the Pirates to have the Yankees or Dodgers payroll, but please spend some money.
