Every Sunday, football fans throughout the Western half of Missouri and other football loving areas through the country, are subjected to watching the heinous offensive incompetency of the Kansas City Chiefs. On the surface, this team looks like it has prime potential to contend on the big stage and keep up with other offenses, but time and time again they never deliver. Weapons like Jamaal Charles, Travis Kelce, Dwyane Bowe, Donnie Avery, and even backup runningback Knile Davis are not allowed to fulfill their potential. The coaching staff calls horrible plays always cutting Jamal Charles short of the carries he deserves. To compound the horrible playcalling, Alex Smith never reads the defense correctly and never looks down the field. The Continental Plates move faster than the Chiefs offense! Now, I have no affinity with the Chiefs, nor do I root for them, but I do know that there is a lot of defensive talent on their roster: So much defensive talent that someone as incompetent as Todd Haley could coach them to a playoff berth with Matt Cassell at QB. The Chiefs consistently lead the NFL in probowl players, yet they haven't won a playoff game in 20 years. Andy Reid, a man notorious for not being able to exploit talent at the running back position and a man notorious for choking during the most inopportune of times must stop turning this talent laden roster into a trainwreck. The Chiefs need a new coach who knows how to come up with a scheme conducive to his personnel and they need a quarterback who will look more than 20 yards down the field multiple times a game. For the sake of the integrity of football, please fire Coach Reid and bench Alex Smith. For the sake of the fans in Kansas City and throughout America, please fire Coach Reid and bench Alex Smith. For the sake of giving Chase Daniel, an ex-hero in the state of Missouri, his fair chance, fire Andy Reid and Bench Alex Smith. Let's save Jamaal and his pro-bowl buds from this tremendous incompetency and turn this horribly-run team into the juggernaut it should be!
