I, too, would like to know more about this egregious act. Pastor Jim Weldon is one of the finest people I have ever met. He (and his wonderful congregation) deserves the benefit of the doubt; especially in matters related to leadership and integrity. When Boy Scout Troop 309 was tossed out on the street by a neighboring church sponsor, Jim and his staff worked to adopt the troop. There wasn't an ounce of fanfare about it, too. That was Jim's way. Hopefully, this travesty is not the result of some underlying liberal penchant for attacking conservative pastors. Anyway, God's justice is perfect. Over time, Jim will have his day; with or without PCUSA involvement.

I definitely believe the members of God's church should be given an explanation as to why the devil was allowed to get ahold of a few and not given those who are still trying to do God's work not be given a chance to stand up. I am so disappointed!!! I attended tonight's session and still do not believe the right thing is going to be done because those who are on a power trip can't shake the devil. We should all especially pray for everyone to be reunited with God's divine plan. We should pray that everyone of us strives to use our talents to "make of difference." God Bless the Weldons and the members (and non-members) of Fleming Island Presbyterian Church!

Deeply disappointed with how this was handled as I was not involved with whatever was going on and still do not understand what my beloved pastor did why Saint Augustine Presbytery has not explained that to this congregation.

I think the Weldon family has done a great job of creating a church home and deserve to continue their great work in the community.

Let us pray for the mission of the Presbytery of St. Augustine: "To serve Jesus Christ by strengthening our congregations in their ministries and enabling us to accomplish together what none could accomplish alone." Let us also pray that we may have the opportunity to gather together in grace and love, and to listen with open minds and hearts. Let us pray for FIPC, Pastor Jim and his family, our elders, deacons, staff and congregation.

Outsiders should stay outside!!!

This is a heart breaking situation. The Prespetery should not split our church without full disclosure of the reasons why. We are members of a church family who are left out of any of the decision making process. I don't want to speculate why, I want to know why I may have to leave my church family! Please provide full information so we can make informed decisions. We are adults and should be treated like adults.

Clearly there is a need for additional information before any action is taken.

I would like to hear the AC reason for this.Pastor Jim hasn't done any wrong. Is there an underlying reason that hasn't been brought out?

Both the Session Elders and the Prespetery need to understand the depth of support that Jim and his family have from the majority of active members at FIPC.

Very sad and surprised to hear this news. Appreciate any additional information on how decisions are made.

The AC should present their case to Pastor Jim and the congregation to allow all affected parties to respond.

Yes I would like to know the reason for this hurried process and what the findings were that warranted this request for Dr. Weldon's resignation.

I would like to attend and expeess my appreciation for Dr. Jim Weldon and total nonsense of his removal.

We deserve to have our questions answered.
