THIS PROFESSOR IS IMPOSSIBLE TO FOLLOW. Half the class is failing and he just keeps moving on like nothing is wrong.

I think first years should have to do finite math next semester for the simple reason that the course is important enough for us to allocate a semester worth of detailed study. Anyone who knows math enough understands that it is a language, and like any other language, it requires attention, time, and consistency to be acquired properly ( to the level where students can think with it...). I understand that there are 2nd and 3rd year students who need to finish the course this semester. In their case, I believe that they should finish the course with another professor following an intensive format ( 4 sessions per week for example).

Initially, I would like to say that I do not doubt the knowledge of our mathematics teacher and maybe in the future he will discover something new in mathematics. But as a teacher, I wouldn't rate him so highly. If you come to the lesson, you may notice that people are sitting with a confused look and as if they don't understand anything, but just write down his notes. There are also questions about how he teaches the training material - what a person throws off in the notes in teams and what he writes on the blackboard sometimes do not coincide at all. Often he just skips part of the solution, and this, excuse me, is mathematics where everything is solved step by step, where the other comes out of one. But our teacher, in the middle of explaining a topic that some people see for the first time, simply skips part of the solution and writes an answer, while saying that we know it or that it's simple. The same questions to his TA who "do their job superbly". I won't speak for everyone, but I attended the first two tutorials and didn't come to them anymore because I just don't understand their explanations. The first thing I can remember as a dude when he was asked to explain the solution and at first glance everything seems clear and the solution is correct, but when I came to my room I found a solution on the Internet his solution and what I see, he didn't even write down half of the solution, most likely having solved it in his head. But you can't blame him for this, because after all, he is not a teacher but his assistant, but I would also call his work great. Also, the constant statements of the teacher in teams are just ridiculous, if his last one is compressed into one sentence, then it turns out "it's not me who can't teach, it's you who are just stupid" and how could it be understood if a couple of people did not understand the subject, and there are people who simply do not understand mathematics, but according to midterm it can be understood that all student
