As artists we're difficult state financially as u see all gigs are canceled(March, April and May) and we don't know when this will last..... Bare in mind that we have families to feed,rent to pay, bills, funeral debit orders, what are we going to pay them with? Can the government consider us because we don't have 9 to 5,If there are no gigs there is no money.

The government should ensure that there is funding for artists by promoting the online sale of their material / artwork to all individuals who are currently at home as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak, through social media, tv and radio adverts.

I fully agree with this petition because some depend on their work to pay rent and put food on the table
They've already lost their gigs,so how will they survive for the next coming days/months?

I run a SMME that rents sound equipment to mainly Taverns. I am also a DJ and I also organize events. Because of the presidents announcement restricting gatherings to 100 people I have had to cancel events and my clients have canceled bookings with me therefor I will not be able to meet my monthly obligations.

As a Khoi San Headman and cultural leader working in my community without any stipend or allowance for years now how can I teach people to stay of the streets while we don't have food and money to buy electricity and when the virus is all gone then we all sit with a problem of pay our rent as well as other dept

This virus is destroying the entertainment industry and its so sad because we depend on our work to pay rent and put food on the table.
We demand that's the Govermant allows events to continue as soon as possible.
