Enough already, leave the beaches alone. These will be the same folks wondering why we can't attract young people to town. Summer is three months long, that gives you 9 months to be cranky about other things.

I have visited Falmouth public beaches multiple times this summer. I have never had any problems with people (especially children) throwing a ball around. They are almost always respectful and move to a place where there are limited people. As for the music restriction. It's just not necessary.

I remember when these rules were put into effect we rode to Bristol Beach on our bikes carting a frisbee or a ball for catch and suddenly we were told no more playing at the beach!!!
