Creative writing is as fundamental a part of the arts as music composition and 2D creation. It's a form of creative expression that has real world application. Writing and communication skills are important in virtually every career.

I never understood how to properly write academic papers until I got deeply involved with creative writing. It is an essential skill that helps students plan, pace, and understand their papers on a much deeper level.

Creative writing is essential, even for writing analytical essays and research papers. It makes them more interesting and engaging for the reader (and the writer), and therefore more effective. Writing is putting your soul on paper, and can help you work through problems and express yourself in multiple ways.

Creative writing is so important to kids these days. I'm only in High School, but I feel like teachers are neglecting the subject of creative writing and instead focus more on essay writing.
