The fencing seems like overreach in this situation. The Land Bank needs 100% compliance? It seems to me compromise is the way forward.

We need to raise some money and hire an attorney. This fence is going up unless we challenge in court. We need to organize and call our town council members as well as land bank representatives.

So the land bank is looking a lot like president trump.? No to the wall/fence. Cooperation is the solution. Stick to the management plan.

Better idea: put up better signs, allow one crossover where the two airstrips join, and trust people’s good judgment and consciences. Just like dunes and Aquinnah clay cliffs are managed. Fences are an eyesore for an open land viewscape.

I have been coming with my dog Maxie for 13 years! Such a shame that we are having politics interrupt such a beautiful part of our day...and others.

As an OB property owner and dog owner, this spot is heaven for me. We stay off the cross paths and respect the place, so please don’t make it look like a prison yard! It would be great, however, to leave one or two of the cross paths accessible (and sanctioned) for those who cannot wall the entire property. And why remove the chairs? The social aspect of this place is crucial too. Humans too, are part of the ecosystem, and we are social animals.

This is one of the most beautiful year-round spots on the island. I am horrified that the Land Bank would even consider a fence. Why would anyone contribute to an organization that would execute on a fence at Trade Wind Preserve?
