GMB members at the 5 Sheffield based household waste recycle centres run by Green Co, a company owned by the charity, Salvaire, are in dispute over bullying, pay and welfare facilities. Salvaire trustees have authorised tens of thousands of pounds of this publically funded service to be paid out in gifts and consultancy fees at a time when sites are closed to the public and pay and welfare are kept to a minimum for staff. Managers and a Director who have raised these issues/concerns are now sacked or have been forced to leave the company. GMB reps leading a campaign over these issues have been sacked. We believe this service generates enough income to enable sites to be open longer and pay and terms and conditions to be fair, PLEASE SIGN IF YOU AGREE AND CALL ON SHEFFIELD CITY COUNCIL TO INTERVENE IN THIS DISPUTE.
