Fighting for Diversity and Inclusion in Baltimore County Sports

I am fighting breast cancer. Loch Raven Badminton Club is my Community that supports my healing and recovery from this life threatening disease. This injustice from Baltimore County Sports Commitee directing the badminton club to move Out from NERRC is very stressful and traumatic. Have respect to lives of all! Thank you.

Wendy overlooked that the club also hosts the annual Baltimore Badminton Charity Open which has raised over $68,000 for the Red Cross

Moving the badminton club from its current location and restricting its size and scale (by moving it into a much smaller high school gym) will have a detrimental effect on the community and camaraderie of badminton lovers that have long affiliated with the club. Besides the drop in membership and lack of adequate space as well as opportunities for all interested participants to play, it will stifle the interest and potential growth, especially among the young and budding enthusiasts that currently enjoy playing alongside and learning from their senior counterparts. Please reconsider the decision for the move! We will greatly appreciate allowing the club to continue at its existing location, while working co-operatively to address any concerns or limitations that may arise. Best wishes!

I swear to god all of these people SPECIFICALLY in the tennis club are always complaining about how we’re putting away our equipment incorrectly or it’s dangerous. The club has followed all the rules, we do our part, we clean up, whenever there a complaint we comply. The club hasn’t done all this work just to be moved to a high school gymnasium. County and Charity tournaments are held here, kids socialize here. The club is an integral part of the badminton community. If the county tries taking this away I will fight them harder than a White soccer mom at a retail store.

It's pretty good.

We need to fight for our right to play for our health and well being. We should not be treated like second class citizens. Badminton may not be the most popular sport but it is our sport!

I think it is a discrimination against minority which is highly unethical behavior.

This will affect the growth of good badminton players(future champions) within the community. Please support. - Subbu

NERRC is such a wonderful facility. The Club is too big to be squeezed into a high school gym. The coaching available to 72 juniors probably cannot be done elsewhere. We only use a small fraction (15%) of the available time at NERRC

Support keeping badminton at present location.

More than 200 members are using 15% of the total facility time and we are willing to share and compromise. But still, we will be kicked out with all the equipments... high school gym will be not enough to fit those mats. At 2018 holidays, all our kids will be hurts badly because of this reckless decision. And it is from our county which we have been trusting and contributing our tax.
