Badminton is a sport that was added in the 1992 Summer Olympics and United States athletes participated in the games. The Loch Raven GYM facility a great place to play recreationally and/ or competitively. Please continue your support. I played in other facilities around U.S. and I can tell you that there is no other place like Loch Raven GYM in the United States.

Badminton is as important as other support. We are a big club that has many people. The 6 courts in high schools won’t be enough for us.

Badminton at is a community sport. Loch Raven Badminton club brings a diverse group of players, kids or adults, at one place and allows us to have a good time with everybody. The decision to move the club without any prior discussion is not justified. I strongly support the petition. Moving the club will adversely affect the developing talents in the community, especially the kids. It's the county itself that'll lose the homegrown talent if the club is forcibly moved to a smaller facility.

We are happy with the current location. The move will make us less scheduled practice time, no summer practice, smaller court to practice, "less"(no) priority of scheduling when high school uses the gym anytime. The move is ridiculous and will really upset the community if this gets approved.

It's not just a sport. It promotes wellness, self esteem and camaraderie among the players. My children come here. They made a lot of friends.

I've played here for 3 years. Loch Raven High School is a lower quality facility than NERRC.

For the past 15 years, I have played badminton all over the north-east. NY, NJ, CT, MA, PA, MD, VA. Of all the places, Loch Raven stands out as the best - not just because of the quality of the facility, but for what it does to create a strong and close community that brings together people from all races and backgrounds; spending their time getting some much needed exercise and having fun at the same time. Clubs like these are pillars of inclusion and diversity in a society. There is no justification for a civil mind to shut down such a place other than to think that there is a dark and hidden political agenda that works against promoting diversity in the community. I am appalled by the audacity of these mindless decision makers and give my full support to move against it.

As a BCS teacher, I know there are many of my students in this club. They love badminton and enjoy their club activities.

Ever since i was little, my parents would go play badminton here every chance they could. To this day they are extremely active in the community and it’s clear to me how much this club impacts their lives positively. I can’t imagine what would happen if they could no longer play badminton, and I really hope that we can prevent this from happening. Badminton at NERRC is something that brings so many people together, and i really hope that it won’t come to an end so suddenly.
