Fight for Your Right to Buy Minimally Processed Pet Food

My cat has IBD and she needs a raw diet to ensure that she doesn't get any grains or veggies as both of those aggravate her symptoms tremendously. She's been doing fantastically on a raw diet. All that eliminating commercial raw food will accomplish is that it will force me to start making my own raw food at home which is far more dangerous than allowing me to purchase commercial raw food from a responsible company that tests their products for dangerous contamination before shipping any batches out to stores. Not to mention that commercial raw food is properly balanced for my cats diet and makes it so I don't have to use unproven recipes I find online. This is completely ludicrous and is nonsense.

I feed my dogs raw because it is safer and better for them all around. Please do not take that right away for so many pets and their parents.

My dog has allergies to ALL things put in dog food. He has to eat raw. This is ridiculous

The raw diet I fed to my previous dog extended his life for many years. I have never had an issue with illness or digestive issues with an appropriate raw diet.

a raw diet is safe as long as you practice safe handling and cleaning. Dry food and wet food has more recalls then raw food.. shouldnt that say something ..

I should have the right to serve my fur kids the food I feel is healthy for them and not the processed foods that I feel are bad!

Raw diets are proven to be one of the most beneficial and healthy diets out there. To take away the option to a healthy diet, is like taking away the right to a healthy pet. Processed foods are not good for humans; what makes it good for pets.

There is more pathogens in Kibble- Kibble should be banned

I've fed a raw diet for 5years now, and not only have my dogs never gotten sick from it, I've watched allergies disappear, dirty ears disappear, and have an 11yr old medium size dog that runs and plays like a puppy

I've fostered immunocompromised animals who would suffer at best on kibble. The dog I adopted has flourished on a well-researched and sourced, species appropriate raw diet and has come a long way since having oily, puss-ridden and scabbed skin.
