Fight for Your Right to Buy Minimally Processed Pet Food

I have been feeding my pets raw since 2005, I'll make my own before I feed them corporate crap.

I fully support feeding raw and never want the option taken away !

It's our choice what we feed our dogs. The us government should be for freedom not a nanny state.

My dog has improved greatly in 3 weeks with the freeze dried raw diet.

There is a growing population of pet owners who are choosing to feed raw instead of highy processed, debilitating kibble. I urge all concerned to protect consumer rights to buy and feed raw or minimally processed pet food.

We have a right to feed our pets whatever food we want. The FDA is being petitioned because the kibble manufacturers are losing money as more people turn to raw - a safer alternative to the garbage the kibble industry makes. They put rotting animal carcasses and loads of other unknowns in kibble that makes our pets sick. We have every right NOT feed our pets that crap. Even IF the regulation passes - I will continue to feed my dogs raw. They can’t take meat off the market for human consumption. My dogs will continue to eat raw even if it’s not “labeled for pets”.

Most bengal cats MUST have a raw diet to live a long healthy life. I have two that benefit from a raw rabbit diet!

No one should have to eat processed crap.

The FDA neefs to back off on this. Let us feed our dogs and cats the way we want.

Another act orchestrated by big business lobby to squash competition.

Taking away the right to serve our pets healthy food is a death sentence to some animals!

I support the use of raw diets for pets.

We as pet owners have the right to feed the food we deem as best for our pets...many deaths have been attributed to "processed " foods so why are they still available???

Pet owners should have the right to feed whatever they deem acceptable and affordable to their pets without government interference. There are many more recalls of kibble due to the crap by products and large amounts of cereal, grains and legumes in it. FDA and AFFCO needs to completely overhaul ingredients used in pet food and maybe consumers would reconsider using kibble if it didn’t make so many pets ill.

I completely support meaning of raw and gently cooked foods to our pets. Dogs are carnivores and dry kibble dog food is highly processed. I will always avoid feeding kibble if possible. The FDA needs to start educating itself.

The FDA needs to stop trying to kill healthy foods, by propping up greedy companies that don’t care about healthy pets.

Why dosen't the FDA outlaw Spinach and Romaine, every year there is an outbreak with produce...... We as consumers should be able to feed our fur babies what we want . Heck there is salmonella even in our own meat that is used for human consumption, safeguard s need to be put in place for human consumption as well as the pet food industry. I know that some pet food companies are using high pressure to kill bacteria. The FDA needs to do stay out of making decisions for the public on how we feed our companion animals!

My dog cannot eat kibble. Throws it up every time. Answers pet food gives me another option besides making homemade food.
