Fight for Your Right to Buy Minimally Processed Pet Food

Raw dog food is their biologically appropriate diet. My dog has NEVER loved his food more!! I worry FAR more about what is in kibble food

I have been feeding either a homemade raw or commercially prepared raw diet to my dogs for nearly twenty years without a single dog experiencing any GI issues. This is absurd.

All four of my dogs (ages 13 years old to 16 months old) are fed commercial raw food. No one should be taking away our right to feed the best possible diet to our dogs.

My dog nearly died due to salmonella-contaminated PROCESSED, DRY food. Raw food saved her life and has helped five of my pets thrive since then.

Prey Model Raw diet is the MOST beneficial for dogs and cats!!

It makes no sense to remove these foods, considering people can buy raw meat and just feed their pets THAT whenever they want. If anything, at least the prepared foods are produced with varying levels of supplementation to make them suitable as whole diets. Leaving no other choice but supermarket and butcher foods to people for raw diets, could INCREASE risk of problems in pets through malnutrition. A lot of people create raw diets, based on Social media advice instead of under the guidance of a Board certified veterinary nutritionist, or other similarly trained individual. Working with the FDA and USDA to control pathogen levels in human foods seems like a better option.

This needs to STOP. Why doesn't the FDA focus on real issues like the toxic crap they allow to go into food that mega companies such as Monsanto is producing?

I have the seen personally the benefits of feeding my boys raw. One has an autoimmune disease and feeding him raw and organic is restoring his immune system instead of steroids suppressing it. This is MY right and no one should have the right to take it away from me and my boys. Period.

The FDA has no business in regulating the pet food industry in the first place. A raw diet is far healthier for cats and dogs than processed dry kibble or canned "food". Better the FDA should deal with salmonella contamination in HUMAN food - which would remove the alleged risk from feeding pets a raw diet as raw ingredients for pet food are sourced from USDA slaughterhouses processing animals for human consumption.

I and only I have a right to choose what I feed my dogs.

We ought to have the freedom to feed our dog's what we'd like.

I have seen the benefits of feeding a raw diet and believe taking this right away from the people is absurd.

My animals, my choice.

This is all about the money the kibble industry is losing and has nothing to do with what is best for our pets.

The FDA needs to back down a raw food diet is more appropriate for animals vs hard baked kibble!!!

We feed our dogs All Provide, Answers and Primal raw dog foods and they are thriving. My husband and I are not one bit happy with the thought our dogs will not be able to eat these wonderful and healthy dog foods that they have survived on with NOT ONE PROBLEM, for almost 4 years now. We have the right as per parents and American citizens to decide for ourselves what we feed our dogs!! In the wild, dogs would kill an animal and eat it and even eat a dead animal that they may find in the woods. As responsible pet parents, we are diligent with washing and cleaning the areas they eat and making sure visitors to our home know that the goats milk the dogs drink is for digs only and these packages are clearly marked. We stand by Answers and their products, as well as All Provide and Primal. These companies we have used for almost 4 years and their standards are of the highest quality! This is our right to feed our pets the food we feel is best for them and you will have the fight of your lives if these raw products are banned. How about looking at the companies who make kibble and where their meat comes from first before you attack raw food companies!!!

Don't tell me what I can feed my dog

I feed my dogs raw and I will continue to do so. Dogs digestive systems are quite different from humans. It is also a FACT that a RAW DIET is the BEST diet for dogs with cancer. Raw is a complete diet. Dogs are not humans. Stop trying to put human traits onto dogs! I suspect this lawsuit is backed by the dry food (garbage) lobby. All of it is crap!

This is ALL about the money the kibble industry will lose and has NOTHING to do with what is best for our pets!
