Fight for Your Right to Buy Minimally Processed Pet Food

Pet food manufacturers are worried, raw is best and they know it. It’s all about money and greed. As for danger, kibble is potentially more dangerous.

Don’t force me to feed what’s best for my cushings dog!

The govt doesn't need to regulate what I feed my pets. That is not their job.

Having access to minimally processed, species appropriate diets for our pets is a right and a necessity. Fresh food is known to be better for any animal or human. Commerical raw food abides by the same or fight meat processing as kibble. The only difference is it's shelf life. I will not stand for banning the right to feed my pets fresh, natural, minimally processed food.

I will never go back to kibble or processed. I already do some diy, guess I might have to do all if the fda and aafco want to play games.

My veterinarian has been overseeing us feed raw for years now. We will absolutely not allow the AAFCO to extend their focus to banning natural & minimally processed pet food.

I have been feeding all my 8 dogs raw. They were weaned on it and all have thrived on it. never have we had any problems with doing so with the dogs or the humans in our household.

We have a right to feed our dogs a raw diet. Please stop harassing these pet food manufacturers into a "zero policy" on bacteria. Its unrealistic.

I make up raw food for my dogs myself, but I support the sale of raw commercial food.

There so be no chemicals and processing in not only human food but dog food! We want the best for our babies!!!

My dogs have all became healthier since adding a commercial raw diet to their daily feeding. There is no health risk with this type of food anymore than the food I buy for my 2 legged family. We could all get sick, and we see it all the time, with frozen vegetables, meat, and spinach. At least this has been treated (high pressure pasteurized) and it’s complete and balanced as opposed to those that will end up creating their own raw diet and will not have it properly balanced for their pets. Focus your attention on those companies that unnecessarily use food dyes, lesser quality ingredients, and drug laden (pentobarbital) meats and leave those that do good well enough alone.

I have no problem being smart enough to decide what is and isn't good for my animals. I've fed raw to my dogs since 1997. Not one dog has ever had a health problem related to food.

No kibble food companies have the right to tell me what I can feed my animals.

This is another example of corporations buying the government. Why would the government give a care what someone feeds their animal? Don't you have enough to worry about? All that should be required by the federal government is that the label is accurate and complete. Let the individual decide what they want to purchase and give their animals.

Raw diet is best! It’s not dangerous if one takes the time to understand how animals eat and the process companies use to ensure safety
