Fight for Your Right to Buy Minimally Processed Pet Food

All pets previous to the ones I now have on a raw diet all died young and of illness. These are the healthiest pets I’ve ever had. I’ve tried feeding store bought wet food when going out of town and some one was watching them only to hear that there was vomiting immediately after eating, and made my babies so sick I had to take them to the vet for medicine to calm their stomachs down. Store bought raw that I get is easy for friends who watch them to feed them, except my female who will now only eat homemade, it’s like she knows/ thinks that if it’s anything other than what I make it will make her sick. No it’s not cheap, but it’s best for them, and my wallet when it comes to the vet! These are the only pets I’ve ever had that only ever need to go just for the annual exams! We need to break away from big corporations who only care about the bottom line and not our pets, and train vets in proper nutrition and penalize those to get kickbacks/ paid by these money hungry companies to promote the food making our pets sick, which sends them back to the vet. And do you really think that celebrities that have pet food brands care about your pet? No, it’s the money you give them for making it. Before pet food was invented pets were fed tables scraps or they ate what they caught. I’ll never go back to kibble or wet food. Put stricter guidelines out to make sure it’s safe of course but end the bribes and greed.

Answers raw food and primal raw food has significantly increased the quality of my dogs and cats lives and they have a ton more energy, and gorgeous coats compared to when I fed kibble.

Raw food is an animals natural diet. I realize there needs to be some oversight, but that should be by veterinarians who know the science not govt officials influenced by $$$ & power & greed. Processed pet food & it's unhealthy & downright toxic ingredients is much more likely to kill our pets.

My animals have never been this healthy since I started feed raw. My cat no longer has crystals and my dogs liver enzymes are back to normal. I have been feed raw for almost two years now.

Our right to feed healthy minimally unprocessed foods to our fur babies is not up to you!

Why?!?! Why ban it?!?! You're already killing dogs with "Science Diet" why take away actual quality dog food that actually heals

Less government intervention!

Raw food is the only thing my elderly dog can digest without being needlessly uncomfortable. If the FDA wants to take MY right to make her comfortable in her last days I will fight that without hesitation.

Please give consumers the right to buy what makes are pets healthy!

The FDA should stay out of our pets lives. They are already in our lives too much anyway.

The FDA should not take our rights away.

Government can’t tell me what i can & cant feed my dog! Kibble has more recalls than raw food!

FDA has no right to tell us what we can feed our dogs.

Follow the $$. That who is behind this. It's always about the $$$.

Without comprehensive sound science, regulators are trying to make raw or minimally processed pet food appear dangerous when decades of science has proven numerous animal health benefits from such foods.

Choose Raw all the way.

My dog has bad allergies and can only eat raw. His survival depends on biologically appropriate food.

Raw is best for lots of pets. It's the natural way.

I don’t need the government telling ME what I can purchase with MY money to give my family the healthiest diet possible. Why don’t you, (the government and FDA) start looking toward the disgusting “food” churned out by the pet food mass producers.

Please do not take away my right to purchase and feed raw food to my pets.
