I respectfully request protection of my rights to buy and feed raw or minimally processed pet food. Please do no not allow pet parents to lose access to raw or minimally processed pet food or limited my choice to only highly processed pet foods.

Please allow us to feed the natural way to feed our pets. They are a part of our family and deserve the best possible food. That is raw food. Just the way nature intended it to be.

Outrageous that humans can buy and consume raw/undercooked meats but kibble pet food manufacturers want to ban same for our dogs so that they can retain control of the market. How did we get here? Corporate-ocracy. Make it stop!

As a US citizen, it is my right to feed my pets the food that I deem the healthiest for them, be it raw or otherwise.

This country prides itself on freedom yet the government wants to restrict and decide what's best to feed our dogs. My prior dog died from liver failure and kibble was killing him at accelerated speed. Vet told me he may die any day since he had almost complete liver cirrhosis. Another Vet told me to get him off the kibble and put him on raw food diet to extend our time with him. It worked and we got to spend whole summer with him and even easy hike to the day before he passed. When I got another rescue her hair was stiff, bloodwork consistently revealed dehydration until I completely transitioned her to raw. Now every Vet that we end up seeing, is amazed how healthy, strong, soft and shiny she is. FDA threatens us that raw is dangerous, well, food for human consumption also has recalls and kibble has even more. We humans eat steaks that rare done or meat and fish tartar yet FDA says that raw is dangerous for dogs...hmm...interesting.

Mandatory control of nutrition and monopolies that benefit from such control need judicial removal of their conflict of interest. This country is a country of choice and allowing dictatorship against people to feed and live healthy should not be allowed.

I'm the founder of the largest and longest observational raw feeding study 'Long Living Pets Research Projects' (2000-2030). As of now over 6000 dogs and 800 cats are participating. They are all fed some type of raw (meat based) food diet, many purchase the food from stores. I'm 20 years into this study. Each case is a lifetime study and I document the lifespan and the most common chronic diseases seen in pets today. Although this is not a scientific study it will produce data we can compare to current statistics. The current statistics is mostly based on kibble fed dogs since less than 4% feed a raw food diet. If you or anyone you know doubt what a raw food diet can do when it comes to restoring the immune system and keeping a dog or cat healthy, I recommend you check out and share this Instagram page: @longlivingpets It's an eyeopener for many since these are all real life stories.
