Fight for Your Right to Buy Minimally Processed Pet Food

As a consumer I want and demand the right to buy REAL food for my companions! REAL Food Matters! Quit attacking the suppliers of great food for our companions!

As a raw feeder of over 20 years I have seen the Long term difference between dogs fed kibble and those on raw. Same lines, same genetics, only difference was food. The Raw fed dogs live longer and look years younger than their counterparts. I will never feed anything else again.

We need to put our pets health before profit. Everyone should have the right to do what they think is right for their animals. Kibble is killing our pets.

As a mother I handle raw food EVERY DAY!! My dogs will eat dead things, poop, lick each others butt....and you are worried about raw food?!! STUPID Educate yourself about what a biologically appropriate diet for a canine. Why do you think they have CANINE TEETH?? To eat dehydrated, extruded grain based kibble?? NO!!

I've been feeding raw food to my dogs for 13 years per the advice of my Veterinarian. My 1st dog had seizures and he told me that it was a much more healthy way to feed. Dogs have different antibodies in their mouths/saliva/gut than humans some bacteria don't impact them. Think about what they eat/drink when outside...

This petition is about protecting our pets’ health and quality of life. I have experienced my pets’ health improve by feeding them raw and minimally processed home made diet. Companies making them should be supported not stymied.

Really? It's the same ingredients I would serve my family. Try banning Kibble for being addicting with no nutritional value.

The FDA needs to abide by federal law when regulating pet food.

The FDA is being influenced by large commercial pet food companies, who are providing pseudo-scientific information, at best, to influence FDA and AAFCO decision making. Independent, unbiased scientific testing is not informing FDA/AAFCO decisions or regulation policy making.

My cat only eats raw meat, raw organs and raw bones. That said it is all I will feed to her. I love my cat and want only the best food meant for her to thrive. Processed commercial fake pet food dry or canned is garbage. It is not natural it is synthetic compounds. Raw is raw, raw is what nature made and just like in the wild raw fresh meat kill is what big cats and little cats eat. Same for dogs, wolves dingoes. People who feed their pets dry kibbles or canned compost chemical enriched preservatives meals. They really don't have the knowledge or don't care about proper food nutrition for their pets. Same with veterinarians most never were educated in nutrition. Plus they get kick backs on selling hills or diet cereal that will line their pockets when the unhealthy pets return for service of kidney disease, heart disease or cancer. Money is made also on flea and tick toxins. Pets fed commercial grade pet food attracts fleas while pets fed a complete balanced raw diet do not attract fleas, have healthier coats, better teeth, more energy, better digestive health and no smelly poo from digestive waste. In fact a raw fed animal poops less, with firm non smelling poo. The same is not true for dry or wet fed pets, they poop alot and it is messy and smelly due to all the additives, preservatives, chemical processing etc I only use human grade raw meat when I buy premade raw petfood or homemade raw myself. Organic and humanely raised. I am very happy and proud to only feed my beautiful Bengal cat a complete and balanced RAW diet of 80% raw meat, 10% raw organ usually liver, 10% raw bone. And some raw eggs and tinned sardines mixed in with the liver. Then portions, freeze and thaw 2 day meals in fridge. Always clean up with soap and hot water when preparing and handling. I support this petition to preserve my right to purchase and use raw meats processed by reputable suppliers such as ANSWERS, Primal, Small Batch and others. The science shows these are healthier than Purina and grain kibble products.
