I started my 8 year old dachshund on raw food 3 months ago. Her teeth are whiter, her coat is shinier, she has more energy and has droppwd a pund or two.

If there aren’t regulations for extremely high processed food and pesticides used for human consumption, why the emphasis in regulating the pet industry, when it’s a positive thing? Money perhaps?

Canines will eat live prey if necessary to survive. Even if they have been kibble fed prior to...interesting how they figure out what to eat instinctively. There is absolutely nothing wrong or dangerous about raw feeding. Mine have been eating raw for 12 years with no issues. Why is it with the information available today showing the numerous benefits you are trying to make it impossible for people to choose wisely. Catering to the big pet food manufacturers only lines their pockets and causes more health issues at much younger ages. You do not nor should you have the right to dictate how I feed my pets. Take your blinders off!

I have eaten a healthy diet for myself for many years now. At some point in time, I wondered why I wouldn't do the same for my pets. Thus begun my journey into a more nutritious, wholesome, and fresh diet for my pets. I discovered the benefits of a raw diet first hand. If fresh, non-processed food is best for humans, wouldn't a species appropriate diet be best for our canines and felines? What concerns me the most, is that my right to chose the best diet for my pets may be taken away from me. That is so wrong on many levels. Like it or not, the raw 'movement' is here to stay; educated health conscious pet owners will never go back to feeding crap to their pets again. Perhaps the FDA should go after a big health threat to all life forms. Mmm, should I dare say- cigarettes? Can anyone tell me one- just one- health benefit of smoking cigarettes? It is my right to chose a diet that I find to be healthy for me as well as for my pets. That is my right.
