I have been feeding raw diets for almost 30 years with great success. It is my right to choose how to feed my animals.

It's about time pet food consumers stood up for their rights. Our pets are not garbage disposals; they deserve real food.

In over 25 years of practice, I've witnessed innumerable patients heal on raw food alone. I've fed raw food to my own pets for 25 years. It is a species appropriate food. When pets do not eat appropriate foods, they are ill and this results in much suffering for pet and owner. Please notice that kibble and canned diets are not infallible, there have been numerous deaths due to toxic contaminants, drug residue and Salmonella.

We must get the corporations, big pharma and politicians to stay out of our abilty to make choices for our family and pets.

Whether you feed raw or not, you should fight for the right to feed your pet what you deem is the best for them and their long term health.

The right to feed my pets what I choose is none of the governments business. It saddens me to see how many of our rights are being taken away from us. Meanwhile the government tries to keep us, and now our pets, sick. How many of our paid and elected officials even have a conscience anymore?

A raw diet is a species appropriate diet with the nourishment our dogs should be getting that dried or canned dog food that is full of fillers and little nourishment provides.

Our federal gov't has no right to tell us what health treatments we can and cannot use and certainly should not be interfering with what foods we can and cannot purchase, specifically for our pets. It is overstepping its bounds in far too many ways.

Feeding mainstream kibble to dogs is like feeding your child McD's everyday. We should be allowed to choose what we feed our pets.

I have been feeding my dogs raw food for many years. I know it to be a very sound and nutritious diet. It is essential that citizens of the United States continue to have the right to obtain raw or minimally processed foods for our animals. Small companies are often committed to the very best quality for our animals. Larger less ethical enterprises should not be permitted to marginalize or even destroy these admirable and much needed small companies who wish to provide higher quality food for our animals.

Thank you Answers for stepping up to protect the rights of all of us raw feeders. We have to make the decisions on what to feed our pets to give them the best chance at a long and healthy life and the kibble that is widely recommended to feed our pets is shortening their lives and causing early cancers...raw feeding with the proper supplements is the way to go.

I want to be able to choose what I feed my dog. My choice is a raw diet. I believe this is best for her health and for longevity.
