Stop the amendment of the South African Firearms Control Act, that is seeking to ban the legal ownership of firearms for self defense purposes and restrictions on other forms of legal firearms ownership.
The government is finally feeling the heat because of this overwhelming surge in support. Do not let these bureaucrats think for a second that we will roll over while they strip away our right to protect our own lives.

These amendments disenfrabchise all South Africans from the right to life and the right to property, as well as three right to free association.
The proposed amendments are thus in contravention of the constitution.

Doing this will NOT stop criminals from getting their hands on firearms. All this will do is take away the average citizens ability to defend themselves. Instead grant Everyone the right to bear arms as in Austria(One of the places with the lowest crime rates in the world)

This is an absolute step backwards, we as lawfull citizens are under attack again, but criminals can run free and cause havoc. It's not just about legal firearms, but how many people can loose their jobs if the firearm industry collapses, we cannot afford for thousands of tax payers to loose their careers the economy is already hard as it is.

Please note that I am a firearm owner on section 13, I am still waiting for my card and am living in fear for my life and my families. Living in Sa is dangerous and have only purchased a firearm to protect my family against the current barbaric crime we have to live with. I live in Bedfordview

Disarm criminals, not law abiding citizens! If law abiding citizens can no longer have firearms to protect themselves with, they will be at the mercy of criminals who do have firearms! Which are more than likely sourced from the SAPS and the SANDF.
