Many thanks to our dishonest and lying Mayor and liberal Democratic local politicians who dumped deviant and sexual predators on us in the guise of the homeless. They have succeeded in returning New York City to the “glory” of the 1970s when streets were unsafe to walk, and graffiti adorned our walls and subway cars.

All of us need to play a role in helping homeless New Yorkers. But it seems that the UWS--along with a couple other neighborhoods-- are playing a disproportionate role. We talk about 'safety' in relation to COVID-19 (we should!), but what about 'safety' from crimes and abuse?
It’s unthinkable to drop drug and sec offenders in the middle of a residential area with lots of schools. Why not send them to rural areas with empty motels and no people/kids around?

please put needy children and moms in these residential areas next to schools and children not dangerous people who legally i an sure are banned from being near young children. You have forgotten the 1970s history of the west side. Don't ruin all the hard work. Choose a more commercial area please

The density of homeless shelters on our upper west side neighborhood endangers the safety of us & our families!

Why ruin one of the quietest family/young professional/student neighborhoods in Manhattan? Put homeless shelters in industrial areas where ppl don’t live or in areas that do not bring crime where there is little.

The UWS has been deteriorating and is getting worse by the day. It no longer feels safe. I’ve seen people actively doing hard drugs on the sidewalk. Just this weekend walked into Duane Reade post robbery and overheard the cops saying crime is at an all time high. We are being thrust back into the 70s and 80s NYC.

Let them find temporary shelter in commercial areas like airports or midtown, not in family oriented neighborhoods like ours.

Shouldn’t the city be providing services to HELP these people as opposed to dumping them in a neighborhood where they will find few resources?
