Even during times of difficult decisions it is imperative to keep strong and vibrant neighborhoods safe.

This is such a disgrace. I've been here since 1976 in this neighborhood. Shame on DeBlasio, shame on city council. My family owns four properties in the neighborhood. It feels like the 1970's again. I can't believe needle park is back. This is not a solution, this is a huge problem. We are considering leaving permanently does the city/state government think they are going to raise taxes on us? lol everyone will leave, my native New Yorker friends already have.

Use Gracie Mansion. Move them to mid-town into empty tourist hotels or to the airport hotels at La Guardia or JFK. This is more terrible planning from the city council and the mayor. Use the javits center and make partitioned beds.

Take away the sex offenders and drug addicts and move all the homeless to midtown where there are no children and an abundance of hotels!!

Homeless people deserve shelter, but sex offenders should NEVER be anywhere near children. Children deserve to grow up without fear of violence!

I wish the mayor would show his face in our neighborhood to see how his policies are working. I've also not seen a policeman in our neighborhood in months. Have they barricaded themselves on West 82nd forever?

You put our children, our Seniors, and families at unacceptable risk with this poorly thought out action!

No community input. They have turned a great neighborhood back to the nightmare of the 1970s

Upper West Sidera are not upset about helping the homeless. There are numerous women’s and family shelters in the neighborhood that people accept w open arms. But these are drug addicts and sex offenders in a family neighborhood. They have already increased crime rates exponentially and are unsafe to residents here.
