We now feel unsafe walking the streets of our neighborhood. Please help us make this right. This is now a dirty and scary place to live. If this continues we will move out of NYC. Thank you.

Where to even begin -
Ever since his foolish decision was made, I have found urine, feces, garbage, and pure aggressive chaos in front of my building on W. 85th St. and all across my neighborhood.
I feel just as unsafe during the day as I do at night. This has become absolutely outrageous and cannot continue.
If our “leaders” care to stop the spread of this virus and our health/safety - maybe they will remove the filthy neglected individuals who continue to infect our neighborhoods with body fluids and disgusting garbage.

We must clean up the UWS, I was born & raised here& never was afraid. Now I am very wary of walking on Broadway in mid day.

My daughter and I were recently attacked by a crazy man on 70th and west end. It seems likely that he was one of our new “neighbors.” I now fear for the safety of my child and am afraid to take her out in our family oriented neighborhood. How can anyone feel that this was a wise decision?

It is dangerous to be idealistic without regard for data and a balanced POV. Not to mention— How can $350 a night be the best economical option. How many are busting their butt to live in a family oriented safe residential neighborhood in Manhattan— our tax dollars are being used to give away free seats to broadway show, while there are likely plenty of quality off broadway shows that can use a bigger audience.

This is RIDICULOUS! We’re paying $4k rent a month and now have to live in a neighborhood that is dirty and unsafe due to these countless homeless people. They all need to be relocated. ASAP!

Housing is a human right, but an entire neighborhood’s safety should not be jeopardized due to how this situation was hastily mishandled. There are plenty of vacant hotels in the city NOT surrounded by families and schools.

Our kids are not feeling safe in the neighborhood and what they are seeing and learning cannot be justified. Am I suppose to teach my kids to avoid confrontation and give out money because we are walking by and violent men are demanding money from us in a hostile manner? I have a 3 year old daughter with me and they are seeing parents being harassed walking by. Is not like I don't want to speak out to these people but I have to care for my kids. We are showing them that being harassed and give out money is okay because we fear for our children. This is unacceptable.
