Lewis leaders are currently discussing what to do with the organization boards that are lined up on the walls of the Academic building. Currently, they will be taken the boards down for the renovations that will be conducted in the Academic building. There has been talk that they may be moving the boards out of the Academic building to the small Student Union. There is talk that there may even be charges to receive your board and board space back when they attempt to put the boards back up.
Organizations unite and fight for our boards! Those boards are the best publicity for our organizations. Students not affiliated with our organizations constantly see those boards on a daily basis as they pass through the halls to their next class. Faculty and leaders should not put the hardworking organizations into a location that few students go to known as the Student Union. Most students who already go into the Union are already apart of organization. The purpose of the boards is to expose outside students to the different multitude of organizations the campus has to offer, whether it be Greek, scholastic, or recreational.
We must unite to ensure that our boards, our traditions, and our history isn't thrown to side by Lewis faculty. Sign this petition if you are against any of the future TALK of what will happen to our boards. Keep them in the halls of the academic building!
The administration has yet to offer a formal response regarding the future of the boards in the academic building. Moving these displays into the silence of the Student Union would diminish the visibility that our student organizations rely upon to function.

The groundswell of support for our organization boards confirms that these displays are vital to the character of our campus. It is heartening to see so many students recognize that keeping our history visible in the Academic building is a matter of respecting the work we do. This momentum shows that our community values its traditions.

Really hope they rethink this. I found my group because I walked past a board on the way to bio class. Moving them is a huge mistake.

The academic building is the only place people actually pay attention to the boards. If they go to the union no one will ever look at them. Keep them where they are.

Total BS. They want our club fees but wont even give us space to advertise? Lewis needs to get its priorities straight and save our boards.
