I hope someone can explain how 12 fiction books in a school library which have a descriptive sexual love scene along with 6 science books telling students about sex and their bodies with illustrations can cause harm to 2000 high school students where we would be arresting teachers and librarians on obscenity charges? But at the same time 2000 students watch porn on their cell phones on lunch break. Doesn't pass the smell test. Is about trying to get rid of those "government schools" by making it impossible for teachers to teach?

I find it difficult to understand why anyone would put pornography in the school library.

It’s definitely sad that we have to have a petition for this in the first place.

Schools should absolutely not be exempt from distributing obscene literature, information, photos, etc!

The obscenity exemption for schools is a deplorable trick to attack our children's morals. As a former teacher, I ask you to remove this loophole.

There is no excuse for this kind of reading material to be available to kids in schools and libraries! It's very sad! Let's call it and label it as it is! XXX

I am fed up with the so-called Republicans in the state, and how the government is taking advantage of kids and people

It’s time to have the conversation about what is obscene and what is education.
