The President of The United States: Keeping Federal Inmates and their Families together approve Conjugal Visits & Family Visit's For The Whole United States. The Families of Incarcerated Loved Ones would like you to consider the best way to go about this as it will make Extended Family Visitation a reality for the families in Georgia. We understand that there would be an expense to create the program and maintain staff for it, but families of the incarcerated know that Extended Family Visit has to pay and would be willing to pay that expense to keep a healthy connection with their incarcerated loved one. The program in essence will be a great way to save people's live's and officer's at the same time because it gives inmates the incentive to work hard at achieving and maintaining good behavior. I ask you to take your time and read this because this is just not me or for me, this is about everyone in the state of Georgia that miss there loved ones. I know you may ask yourself, what would this do for the inmate's or the visitor's? First it will give the inmates life again and encourage them not be so violent second it will help with cost of the facilities by increase funds and reducing tax dollars spent for each facility, third inmates will start doing what they have to do to come home and be secure in knowing they have a true family connection to come home to. Inside the prison world it's hard to survive because you have to deal with so much and if you get private time with your loved one and over night stays your more worried about staying out of trouble so you can have your visit and not get it taking away from you if you do get into trouble. Fourth it helps the children of the inmate bond with them in a more normal and loving fashion as opposed to regular facility visitations by having the freedoms to show affections and enjoy each other's company in a way that is more psychologically and socially productive to the families. Lastly I think this would be a great idea because it will help in funds and also give inmates more reason to work on their behavior issues as well as not giving up on themselves as they will have a chance to work towards spending time with their children and wife and immediate family. All I'm asking is for you to consider this not only for the inmates but for the families that have a long time to be without their loved ones. Family is the most important thing when serving a sentence for a crime. With out communication by letters, phone calls, and visitation; Inmates would be more aggresive and violent against each other and officers. I believe that if state prisons are allow extended family visits inmates would be more productive and less likely to return after their incarceration. This type of bonding promotes healthy relationships and morals, which are important to their reinstatement into society. Federal inmates have to serve around 85% of their entire prison sentence; where as state prisons usually serve 50-65% then why not petition to pass a bill allowing extended family visitations.

The question of whether or not prison is intended to rehabilitate -rather than to merely punish - deserves the scrutiny of all Americans who might one day be affected by the answer. Yes, many agree that it would be a privilege to have these visits when incarcerated. For those who believe that isolation is a way of rehabilitation I would like to say there is absolutely nothing rehabilitating about restricting inmates from intimacy with their love one. If the visits should require monitoring to be considered safe then, in my opinion, by all means monitor. Extended family visits will allow for longer, faithful marriages and healthier relationships. I understand that every inmates case is different and these special visits should be considered accordingly however a bill needs to be passed to allow family to stay together thru this unfortunate situation of incarceration.

That's why I ask you join me in sending a message to the state of Georgia that families of the incarcerated and those who are imprisoned matter too. By signing this petition you will send a message to those in authority to persuade lawmakers to make it possible for all those how have lost that intimate connection with their love ones during incarceration to regain it through extended family visitations and give hope of building a better future for their families.
